Dual-station design
Welding and loading simultaneously.
Intelligent control
Precise trajectory and dense welds.
Flexible manufacturing
Adaptable to various pressure tank models.
Traditional welding vs. robotic welding
The materials used in pressure vessel manufacturing (typically high-strength steel, stainless steel, and special alloys) place extremely high demands on weld integrity, as weld quality is directly related to product safety.
UMW robotic welding system ensures an error-free production process through tandem/dual welding gun systems, single-axis welding positioners, robotic floor rails, and a CAD/CAM-enabled offline programming infrastructure.
| Comparison Item | Robotic welding | Traditional welding |
|---|---|---|
| Welding efficiency | High, continuous automatic operation | Slow, limited by manual operation |
| Weld quality | Stable, high repeatability, low defect rate | Unstable, weld quality is affected by the operator |
| Operation difficulty | Low, short training period for novices | High, requires experienced welders |
| Processable pressure tank specifications | Various sizes and specifications available for flexible adaptation | Limited by welder skill and physical strength |
robotic welding pressure tank Processing
This automated welding system is suitable for the following container sizes:
Diameter: 420 mm to 930 mm;
Welding: MIG/MAG;
Length: 360 mm to 1480 mm;
The pressure vessel is moved on the machine via a lifting bridge. Once the container is positioned, it is clamped, and the welding process begins. This process is controlled by a servo motor.
When welding begins, the MIG/MAG welding torch is pneumatically lowered. The torch can be perfectly adjusted. After welding is complete, the container is released and moved to the desired height for rolling onto the output table.

2. Laser welding head
Motor-driven X/Y-axis oscillating lenses: Supports multiple oscillation modes to accommodate irregular welds and large gaps.
Fully enclosed structure: Prevents dust from contaminating optical components.
Air curtain design: Reduces the impact of smoke and splash on the lenses.
Drawer-style protective lens: Easy and quick replacement.
Strong compatibility: Compatible with various lasers with QBH connectors.
3. Robot Track Motion
1) Used to mount the robot and enable left and right movement
2) Reserves space for the robot base, welding robot control cabinet, and gun cleaning station base
3) Ensures stable equipment operation
1. The machine consists of a fixed base, a rotary spindle, a servo motor, a reducer, a conductive mechanism, a protective cover, and an electronic control system.
2. It supports remote control via a robot teach pendant or an external operating box.
3. The workpiece is secured by a welding chuck, which can be adjusted to the desired welding/assembly angle.
4. Chuck rotation is driven by a servo motor, achieving the desired welding speed.
